Privacy Policy
WheelySuite is operated by James Bevan in the United Kingdom. This notice explains how the site handles saved wheels, shared files and links, hosting requests, optional analytics and other optional services.
Your wheel and browser storage
Ordinary wheel entries, settings, weights, results, round removals and the latest saved Undo step are kept in this browser using localStorage when it is available. Named saved wheels and uploaded images or audio use IndexedDB, another type of browser storage.
The wheel processes these entries and media in the browser. It does not upload them to an account or use a cloud-synced wheel library. Someone with access to the same browser profile may be able to open saved data.
The app does not set an automatic expiry for this saved data. It can remain until you clear it, reset the app or the browser removes it. Removing one saved copy or attachment does not necessarily remove other copies or stored media.
Downloads, links and embeds
A downloaded wheel file can contain entries, settings, images, audio and the current round. You control where the file is saved and who receives it.
Share links and embed URLs encode supported wheel content after the number sign in the address. This fragment is read by the browser and is not included in the page request sent to the web server. Encoding is not encryption. Anyone with the complete link or embed code can read the included entries and settings.
Normal share links omit uploaded media and start a fresh round. They still include list rows unchecked in Include. Embeds copy only included rows and supported settings into a separate temporary round. Neither updates when the original wheel changes. Review the content before sharing, and avoid putting private information in a link.
A complete link can also be exposed through browser history, extensions or somewhere you paste it. A copied address is not a private account or access-controlled invitation.
Optional list generation
When you request list generation, the topic you type and requested suggestion count are sent to this site’s server and, when connected, to OpenAI. The app does not include the current wheel, results or uploaded media. Avoid personal or confidential information in the topic.
The app asks OpenAI not to store responses as retrievable application history. Separate abuse-monitoring retention can still apply. OpenAI does not use API content for training by default unless the account opts in. Its default abuse-monitoring retention is up to 30 days, with exceptions under its data rules. Special retention controls have not been verified for this service. Zero provider retention is not promised.
The app does not deliberately log topic text or generated entries on its server. The request and response are processed to return your draft. The draft remains temporary until you apply it; applied entries become part of the wheel’s browser-saved data.
Optional dictation
Opening Dictate entries does not start the microphone. Start listening asks the browser’s speech-recognition service to listen, subject to browser support and microphone permission. The service may send audio over a network and has its own processing and retention rules.
The app receives recognized text, keeps a temporary draft and does not record or store raw microphone audio itself. Stop listening ends capture; Cancel discards the draft. Finished text reaches the wheel only when you select Add to entries. You can revoke microphone access in the browser’s site permissions.
Hosting, diagnostics and optional analytics
Cloudflare hosts this site and processes connection and request information, including IP addresses, requested paths and request headers, to deliver pages and protect the service. Cloudflare may retain network and security records under its privacy policy. If list generation is enabled, a key derived from the request’s IP address limits repeated requests. Its quota storage holds counters, not topic text or generated entries. Reset all saved data does not remove provider records.
The wheel keeps temporary diagnostic events in page memory. These contain the tool, event type, approximate elapsed time and an entry-count range. They exclude entry text and selected outcomes and are not sent to an analytics service. When analytics is running, our page-view events use a fixed public page address and title. They exclude wheel entries, questions, results, media, URL query strings, fragments and referring-link details. Google’s tag also receives network and browser information, including your IP address, and uses analytics cookie identifiers.
Google Analytics starts automatically on ordinary public pages unless you have a saved rejection. If browser storage cannot be read, it stays off until you enable it for the current page. Open Analytics choices in the footer to turn it off or on. Analytics is not used in private previews or embedded wheels. The site sends manually configured page-view events and does not use analytics for advertising or record wheel actions. Turning analytics off stops future collection, removes this site’s Analytics cookies and reloads the page to unload Google’s tag. It does not erase data Google already received.
Manage your data
Download any wheel you need before clearing browser data. Reset all saved data is in Customize under Saved data. Confirm it and wait for the completion message to clear the app’s saved data across all four tools. You can also use the browser’s site-data controls.
A reset cannot delete downloaded files, copies held by recipients, saved links or information already processed by an external service. Clearing browser storage also does not revoke microphone permission.
Use fictional or minimal labels where possible, especially for classroom use. Do not put sensitive details about yourself or other people into prompts, links or shared files.
Privacy questions and requests
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information, object to processing, request portability or withdraw consent where it is used. You may also be able to complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
For privacy questions, use the Contact page and check its current mailbox status. Saved wheels held only in your browser can be cleared through the site’s reset controls. Cloudflare, Google and optional service providers may process information internationally under their own terms and policies.
